Soundwave is a joke-parody-thingy. He is obviously a Decepticon that has the likeness of his G1 self, except a darker purple (or blue. Sometimes I can't really tell if he's blue or not.). He likes karaoke, and uses a blaster similar to G1 Blaster's. He also acts a bit like a robot.
He is a pistoleer and also loves music and uses some lyrics into his speech. He can be considered a "Happyshoe-like decepticon" because sometimes he doesn't act very Decepticon-like. He also is a "Decepticon Bard" and "Decepticon Beastmaster/Tamer of Animals".
I think he would fit in well with the "Seth McFarlane" transformers off of Family Guy's running gags, and Robot Chicken's transformer guys.
